Recent polling ahead of the September 6 Landtag election in Sachsen-Anhalt shows Die Linke consistently placed third behind the AfD and CDU, with support holding between 11 and 13 percent while the SPD and Greens remain in the 5–9 percent range and smaller parties such as the FDP and BSW sit below the five-percent threshold. This positioning has remained stable across multiple surveys conducted in the final weeks, limiting room for major shifts before voting. The market’s strong consensus on Die Linke for third place reflects these repeated results and the narrow window remaining for other parties to close the gap. Late changes in turnout or unexpected gains by the SPD or Greens could still alter the final order, though current trends indicate limited volatility.
