This market will resolve to "Yes" if a law with the effect of making Daylight Saving Time the permanent, year-round time across the United States, is enacted into law by December 31, 2026 at 11:59PM. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No". The existence of any carve-outs or exceptions shall not be relevant for purposes of this market. The primary resolution source is Congress.gov’s legislation tracker (https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/3633) and other official information from the government of the United States, however other credible reporting may be used.The House passed the Sunshine Protection Act on July 14, 2026, by a 308-117 bipartisan vote, advancing a measure to lock most of the country on year-round daylight saving time and eliminate biannual clock changes. The bill now awaits Senate action, where companion legislation has stalled without a floor vote or majority leader commitment. A competing proposal favoring permanent standard time has also surfaced, while medical groups continue highlighting health concerns over darker winter mornings. With the November 1 clock change approaching and no Senate passage by late August, traders assign only about a 14.5% chance the change takes effect in 2026.
