Princess Faku leads trader sentiment at 68% for the next Buffalo City mayor, reflecting her incumbency since 2023 and decisive win as ANC Dr WB Rubusana regional chair in December 2025, which positioned her as the clear frontrunner for the party's November 2026 local government election nomination. The ANC's dominance in the metro makes its candidate the near-certain winner, with shortlisted rivals including Nocawe Mafu, Simphiwe Dzengwa, and Ncedo Kumbaca trailing far behind in pricing. Recent mayoral committee reshuffles and service delivery initiatives have reinforced Faku's party standing, while lower-probability outcomes for other listed names align with limited visibility outside ANC selection processes ahead of the vote.
