Marine layer influences and scattered showers forecast for September 6 are suppressing daytime heating across the Los Angeles basin, with National Weather Service and model guidance pointing to highs primarily in the mid-70s at coastal and airport locations. Onshore flow, elevated humidity, and 70% precipitation chances have kept morning temperatures cooler than recent days, reducing the potential for afternoon warming to the upper 70s or beyond. This aligns with the market's heavy weighting toward 74-75°F, while lower odds on 78°F+ outcomes reflect limited model support for stronger offshore winds or clearing skies that would allow greater insolation. Historical September averages near 76-77°F provide context, yet current conditions favor the lower end of the distribution.
