Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus for Houston on September 6 point to a daily high in the upper 80s to low 90s amid partly sunny skies, scattered showers, and thunderstorms that limit afternoon heating through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Subtropical Gulf moisture and typical early-September steering patterns keep heat indices elevated while capping peak readings below historical averages near 91°F. Trader emphasis on the 88-89°F and 90-91°F brackets reflects recent model runs showing modest cooling from convection, consistent with observations from nearby stations and the low odds assigned to extremes above 92°F. Updated NWS briefings and next-hour radar trends remain key inputs for resolution.
