Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Houston project a high in the mid-90s on September 8 under mostly sunny conditions with a 40% afternoon thunderstorm chance, aligning closely with trader consensus around 94-95°F and 92-93°F. Light southeast winds, high humidity supporting heat indices above 105°F, and typical late-summer steering patterns favor modest daytime heating without strong capping inversions or widespread cloud cover to suppress peaks. Model agreement remains high given the short lead time, though scattered convection could shave a degree or two from the maximum depending on timing and coverage. Updated NWS point forecasts and local observations over the next 48 hours will provide the key data for resolution.
