Recent forecasts from the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional and international models indicate a polar air mass has delivered clear skies and light winds to Buenos Aires, promoting strong overnight radiative cooling that positions the daily minimum near or slightly below freezing. Official observations show early-morning readings dipping to 2–4 °C with wind-chill values near 0 °C, while ensemble guidance clusters the expected low around 0 to –1 °C for the 24-hour period ending at local midnight. This aligns with climatological analogs for early-September cold outbreaks, though model spread and station-specific siting introduce modest uncertainty in the precise threshold.
