Recent Quaest and Vox Brasil state polls in Rio Grande do Sul show Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) leading or tied with incumbent President Lula (PT) in first-round voting intentions, with the senator at 32–34% versus 28–30% for Lula and single-digit support for all other tested names. This regional edge for the Liberal Party nominee, who draws from southern conservative voters, underpins trader pricing that places him far ahead for first place in the state. Other declared candidates, including Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury, remain marginal in the same surveys, consistent with their low market probabilities. The October 4 first-round date and absence of major late shifts keep current polling as the dominant input for market positioning.
