Lula maintains a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte for first place in the 2026 presidential first round, with recent Quaest polling showing him at 54-56% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 19-20% and all other listed candidates at 2% or below. This positioning reflects the state's location in the Northeast, a historical PT stronghold where social programs and incumbency advantages have sustained support for the current president. National aggregates and state-specific surveys confirm Lula's consistent edge in the region ahead of the October 4 vote, with campaign alliances and early advertising reinforcing organizational strength. Trader consensus at 96% for Lula aligns with these patterns, though shifts could arise from unexpected momentum for challengers, changes in economic conditions, or turnout variations among undecided voters (around 9-10% in recent data).
