Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble forecasts for September 7 project a high near 79–80°F in New York City under mostly sunny skies, light northerly flow, and dry air with dew points in the upper 40s to low 50s. This setup favors strong daytime heating but limited mixing, keeping the maximum close to the long-term Central Park average of 79.3°F while suppressing values above 82°F. Recent model runs show minor spread in peak timing and boundary-layer depth that separates the tightly matched 78–79°F and 80–81°F bins, with traders weighting the latest NWS point forecasts and observed trends from the prior 48 hours. Updated model guidance tomorrow morning will likely resolve the narrow spread.
