Persistent heat across Central Texas, with recent highs exceeding 100°F and elevated dew points near 74°F, has driven overnight lows into the mid-70s on September 6, aligning with National Weather Service forecasts of 76–78°F minima at Austin stations. Multiple model runs and surface observations confirm minimal radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies and southerly flow, well above the 1991–2020 average low of 70.6°F for the date. Trader consensus at 94% for 76–77°F reflects this strong agreement in official guidance, though a rapid frontal passage or unexpected clear-sky radiational cooling could still lower readings by a degree or two before dawn.
