**National Weather Service forecasts and real-time observations from Atlanta-area stations underpin the overwhelming 99.3% market-implied odds for a 94-95°F daily maximum on September 6, 2026.** Persistent high pressure and mostly sunny skies have supported highs near 95-96°F amid a multi-day heat wave, with recent readings at Hartsfield-Jackson and nearby sites (including 96°F on September 3 and 97°F on September 5) aligning closely with this narrow band. Heat-index values reaching the low 100s reflect elevated humidity, yet steering patterns and model consensus have kept the official high from pushing into the 96°F+ bins favored by only 0.7% of traders. A realistic shift could occur from localized convective development or a late model run revising the peak upward by a degree or two before final observations close the market.
