This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 7 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the seventh day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. This market will resolve once data for this date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the seventh day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Official forecasts from the Hong Kong Observatory position 26°C as the most likely minimum temperature for September 7.** The HKO’s 7- and 9-day outlooks issued around September 6–7 indicate a daily temperature range of 26–30°C or 27–32°C under light winds (force 2), mainly cloudy skies with a few showers, and moderate humidity (65–95%). These conditions reflect typical late-summer patterns with no strong synoptic forcing for significant cooling or warming overnight. Recent observations on September 6 showed overnight lows near 25.9–26.7°C amid similar partly cloudy, humid conditions, supporting model consensus that the next minimum will cluster around 26°C. Secondary probabilities for 27°C (15%) and 25°C (10.5%) capture minor forecast uncertainty from shower timing or localized cooling, while lower outcomes remain improbable given the absence of stronger northeast monsoon influence until later in the week. Trader sentiment aggregates these official guidance and ensemble trends, with the heavy weighting on 26°C reflecting the narrow expected range ahead of the day’s resolution.
