Current NWS and model consensus points to clear or mostly clear skies with light southerly winds overnight, supporting a lowest temperature in the upper 70s for Houston on September 7. This aligns with the market's tight clustering around 76–79°F outcomes, reflecting traders' assessment of limited cooling under high humidity and persistent warm advection typical of early September. Recent observations show overnight lows running several degrees above the 1991–2020 average of 74.5°F amid a broader warm spell, while any slight model spread on wind or cloud cover could shift the exact minimum within the 72–81°F range. Final hourly readings from Houston Hobby or Bush Intercontinental will resolve the market.
