Recent opinion polls ahead of Sweden's September 13 parliamentary election show the Social Democrats leading overall, with Sweden Democrats holding a narrow edge over the Moderate Party in projected individual support, at roughly 19% versus 18%. This positioning reflects Sweden Democrats' sustained strength on immigration, crime, and security issues within the right-wing Tidö bloc, even as the broader opposition bloc maintains a lead that has narrowed in recent weeks. The Moderate Party's gains in some surveys have kept its second-place prospects competitive but behind current trader consensus. Late campaign developments on economic pressures and energy could still influence final rankings between these two parties.
