This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 28 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official forecasts from the Hong Kong Observatory project a maximum of 28–33°C on August 28 under sunny periods and isolated thunderstorms, driven primarily by subsidence from Tropical Cyclone Saudel’s outer circulation that suppresses cloud cover while allowing intense surface heating and high humidity. Westerly to southwesterly winds at 3–4 Beaufort will limit marine cooling, yet afternoon convection triggered by surface temperatures near 31–32°C could cap peaks through evaporative cooling or brief shading. Model spread around the 32°C mode reflects uncertainty in convective initiation timing and urban heat-island amplification versus any lingering moisture from the prior southerly airstream. Traders assign highest implied probability to 32°C because ensemble guidance clusters there, with adjacent outcomes differentiated by small shifts in insolation or shower coverage.
