Lula holds the leading position in trader assessments for first place in Tocantins' October 4 first-round presidential contest, reflecting his incumbency advantages, established PT party organization across northern states, and recent state-level polling that shows him competitive or tied with Flávio Bolsonaro. Late August surveys from Real Time Big Data and Quaest placed the two frontrunners at 36-37% and 32-36% respectively, with Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, and Pablo Marçal trailing well behind in single digits. Flávio's 39% market price aligns with his strong second-round showings in the same polls and right-leaning sentiment in the state, while lower-priced names such as Zema, Cury, and various minor candidates remain sidelined by limited local support and ineligibility rulings. Traders appear to weigh Lula's federal program delivery and name recognition against Flávio's momentum from the Bolsonaro family brand, with the first-round outcome still sensitive to undecided voters and turnout patterns in the coming weeks.
