Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) holds the strongest position for first place in the October 4, 2026, Federal District Senate election, where voters select two senators from a field of roughly 13 registered candidates using plurality block voting. A late-August Quaest poll showed her leading with 25% of intentions, ahead of incumbent Leila Barros (PDT, known as Leila do Vôlei) at 17% and Erika Kokay (PT) at 12%, amid high undecided and blank/null shares. Her candidacy was formalized by the PL in early August after earlier uncertainty tied to internal party dynamics, giving her visibility advantages in a race that also features Bia Kicis (PL). Traders appear to weigh these polling trends and name recognition against the possibility of shifts before election day.
