This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Gimhae Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rkpk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**The closely matched 33.5% market odds for 31°C and 32°C on August 30 reflect uncertainty over how much a stationary front and associated rainfall will moderate daytime heating in Busan.** A low-pressure system near the Shandong Peninsula is expected to interact with hot, humid air from the south, producing periods of showers and thunderstorms that increase cloud cover and reduce solar insolation. This limits surface warming compared to clearer conditions under the North Pacific high, which has sustained late-summer heat and tropical nights across the region. Forecast models show highs clustering near 29–31°C (roughly 84–88°F), with slight variations in precipitation timing and intensity able to shift the daily maximum by 1°C. Persistent high humidity and light southwesterly winds further influence the heat index but have less direct impact on the official dry-bulb high used for market resolution. Updated model runs closer to the date will clarify whether breaks in cloud cover allow a brief push toward 32°C.
